Serifos
The Cyclades have her name of the Greek word "Kyklos" ("circle"). Circularly 28 bigger and approx. 200 smaller islands lie in the centre of the Aegean Sea. Thus, the Cyclades are the biggest island group. Kea, Milos and Serifos belong to the best known ones in the west, Mykonos and Tinos in the east, Ios, Amorgos and Santorin in the south and in the middle Paros, Naxos and Syros. Fascinated by the beauty of the Cyclades writers, painters and architects derive inspiration over and over again by the "magic light" of the Aegean Sea, the world-renowned Cyclades architecture of the white cubic houses, the uncountable chapels, the deep blue sea and the fine beaches. Today the Cyclades are valid as the piece of jewelry of Greece and belong to the mostly taken a photo sceneries.
The liner of Piraeus or Rafina land in the small harbor of Livadi. A wonderful sandy beach welcomes the visitor. In the slopes the small white houses of Chora form a group picturesquely.
