The Spathies area takes its name from the beautiful bay, idyllically located between rocky outcrops on the western coast of Sithonia. It is not an established village, but rather two adjacent coves with a few holiday homes. In one of these coves, just a few steps from the fine, child-friendly sandy beach, lie the Spathies holiday houses, one half of a semi-detached house (Spathies 3) of which is available for rent.

An interesting alternative to beach life is an excursion to nearby Mount Athos. Boat trips around the peninsula of the famous monastic republic depart from Ormos Panagias, not far from Spathies – a highly recommended excursion.
